Coaching as a parent – what you focus on is what you create!

As a parent you don’t want your children to be “as good as you”–you want them to be everything they can be.  Most of us rarely take the time to look at what we’re aiming at as parents.  We get so caught up in the day-to-day stuff, we don’t stop to ask, “What do I ultimately want for my children?”  Ask the question and your parenting changes!  I want my children to have confidence in themselves.  I want them to be able to stand on their own two feet. I want them to be truly happy, to know that they already have everything inside of them they need to have a great life.  I want them to be kind and to love to serve.  Iwant to be their friend.  I don’t want to always be looked up to, I want to be on the same eye level; in fact, I want to be able to look up to them.

Setting this kind of vision for raising your children transforms your parenting.  Change the way you look at people and the people you look at CHANGE!  Remember, when it comes to the most challenging and wonderful of all coaching roles — that of parent– what you focus on is what you CREATE!  Joy to you!  Brian Biro
